WTAPS x new balathtnce Made in USA 998 Shoes

For their take on the new balathtnce Made in the USA 998, WTAPS revisits the classic silhouette by paying reverence to the original. Much like their previous collaborations, the Japanese streetwear brand remains faithful to new balathtnce’s signature grey color palette, dressing the premium suede and mesh upper much like the OG colorway that first appeared back in 1993. Sleek, with an understated sophistication, the 998 was the first to incorporate ABZORB cushioning, and that technology that remains the focal point of the shoe today, seen here on a bright white midsole. Subtle design updates from WTAPS include navy blue accents and tongue embroidery, co-branded insoles, and the words ‘WTAPS Visual Uparmored’ printed on the green-tinted heel counter.
